It is noun form of English counsel (I talk and give an advice), and the counseling (counseling) points at consultation / the public of giving an advice in a broad sense. But it is the towards other people means that based it on the psychology that seems to be follows, and counseling tends to point at a thing for the purpose of the support about a psychological problem and trouble mainly now.
As well as the counseling of such a narrow sense, there is the thing that I call a consultation act, consultation counseling in various fields. For example, it is performed in beauty, a change of job, a law, loan credit, marriage, other fields. Since counsel of the verb means that I talk widely as above, it is wide and can call the various acts to be accompanied with consultation with counseling. However, the counseling of the narrow sense says correspondence to the heart of a person taking counseling to the last.
As for the person counseling it, as for the person taking a counselor (counselor), counseling, a client (client) or a mosquito is called sherry (counselee) yes.
